ARNOLD (JOHN), bookseller in London, 1569-81; The North Door of St. Paul's Church. Admitted a freeman of the Company of Stationers on February 3rd, 1568. First entry in the Registers 1568-9 [Arber, i. 387]. He chiefly published ballad literature. He was fined for keeping open his shop on St. Andrew's day. The last heard of him is in 1581, when he transferred a book to J. Charlewood { CHARLEWOOD, John ( - 1593) ‹ LBT 07132 › } [Arber, ii. 387].
