On pp.40-55, Hodson provides a "List of Pensioners" of the Printers, Pension Society from the foundation in 1828 upto Christmas 1881. It provides the year in which they were elected, their age on election, the year in which they died, and the total amount they had received in their life time or upto that date. On p.89 he gives a "List of Inmates of the Almshouses (1856 to 1881)", again it provides the year of election, the age on election, the gross amount of endowment paid to each person to the end of Dec 1881, and the year of decease. There are also a considerable number of widows listed for whom we are only given the surnames of their husbands. It is possible, indeed probably, that those husbands may already appear in our records but for the time being they have all been allocated and individual number.
