Further Notes

Suspension - On 7 Feb 1727 it was noted that a Commission of Bankruptcy had been issued against Bateman (see "London Gazette" of 31 Jan-4 Feb 1727) and the Beadle was ordered not to summon him to any future Court. He reappeared on 7 Nov 1727, when it was again ordered that he not return to sit on the Court until his creditors were satisfied and the Commission was superseded, after which no more was heard from him. ---
