MLT Note: Val Talbot - GWB - "was a Carver and Gilder. He came to Australia about 1847, where he worked as a Carver and Gilder also, and is, I believe, on the National Gallery (Sydney) list. He worked from premises in Waverley, Sydney, in 1857-58, I have been told - - - [see DEATH] . He established a family here, (of ten children), and I believe his eldest daughter married a man, who later in life, dealt in antiques. William worked in a workshop at the back of the son-in-law's establishment, from what I can gather from family stories." ---
