Further Notes
Bloome was passed over in the call of 18 Aug 1643 because of "his residence constantly in the Country", but when he appeared on 5 Sep and "desired to take his place" he was admitted, conditional only upon his paying his overdue Renter Warden fine. --- On 6 Jul 1650 and again on 2 Jul 1653 Bloome was fined for his second year as Under Warden, but since he had not attended since Jan 1650 and was never to attend again this may have been merely a pious wish. By 7 Nov 1659 when he asked in vain to be restored to his place at the Table he had obviously ceased to be summoned as an Assistant, and on 5 Apr 1669 he was granted £4 per annum, being described as a "sometimes a member of this Table", in great want. This quarterly pension was last paid on 29 Jan 1670 so presumably he died between then and the next Pension Court on 12 Oct 1670. ---
