BOLER (JAMES), bookseller in London, 1626-35; (1) Tbe Flower de Luce, St. Paul's Churchyard; (2) Tbe Marigold, St. Paul's Churchyard. Took up his freedom in the Stationers' Company on March 1st, 1613 [Arber, iii. 684). At the time of making his first book entry on September 13th, 1626, he appears to have been associated with Robert Milborne { MILBORNE, Robert ( - 1643) ‹ LBT 09316 › }. On June 1st, 1629, the widow { LEGGE, (Unknown) ‹ LBT 06711 › } of Cantrell Legge { LEGGE, Cantrell ‹ LBT 07981 › } of Cambridge assigned over to him all her copyrights consisting wholly of works of divinity [Arber, iv. 212 ]. His last book entry occurs on July 31st, 1635, and he died before the end of the year: his widow Anne { BOLER, Anne ( - 1638) ‹ LBT 03385 › } carried on the business for a short time [Arber, iv. 351, 435].
