Page - p.93 [under Dallinghoo,N, or Dalingahou] - "William Churchill, Esq., purchased this estate about 1698, of John Dade, M.D., and made it his seat. He represented Ipswich in parliament in Queen Anne's reign, and married Rose, the daughter of John Sayer, of Woodbridge, Gent., by whom he had issue one daughter, Elizabeth, married to Francis Negus, Esq.". --- Hutchins, vol.2, p.384 records a monumental inscription from St.Peter's Church, Dorchester, Dorset - "Inferius in crypta situm est corpus / WILLIELMI CHURCHILL, / Viri probi, & integerrimi,/ Patriae suae amantissimi,/ Qui decessit 17 Julii, A.D.1706,/ Natus Annos 78. / Uxorem duxit ELIZABETHAM, / Filiam Nicholai AWNSHAM de Isleworth, / in comitatu Middlesexiae, / Feminam pietate & virtute insignem. / Quae obiit 20 Junii, 1714, / eAnnos nata 84, & justa jacet. / Liberos decem susceperunt, quorum nomina sunt / Elizabetha, Awnsham de Henbury, Maria, / Willielmus de Dalinhgo, in com. Suffolciae, / Johannes de London, Joshua de Gussage, / Jana, Sarah, Susanna, & Ricahardus / Qui infans decessit." There is a not to say "This monument gone in 1865. --- Armytage, G.J. (1890 [1687-1694]) - marriage allegation - 16 Jul 1687 - a John Prust, of the City of Exton, Devon, Bookseller, Bachr, aged 24, & Mrs Jane Litleton, of the same, abt 22, with consent of her parents; alleged by Wm Churchill, of St Martin's Ludgate, Stationer; ath the Cathedral Church of Ex'on or [blank] --- ---
