Duff, E.G. (1905), p.37

DATHENUS (PETRUS), stationer in London, was born at Mont Cassel in Flanders, in 1531, and having been educated by the Carmelites joined the reformed religion and went to London in the reign of Edward VI, where he took up the business of a bookseller. He was afterwards a minister at Heidelberg, and died in 1590. [Schickler, I, 178. Den Gulden Winckel (Baarn) Derde Jaargang, No. I, 15th January, 1904, p. 10.]
