ERVE (EGIDIUS VAN DER), printer in London, is mentioned with his wife Anna { ERVE, Anna van der ‹ LBT 05123 › } in the registers of the Dutch Church in 1551 and 1550-60. [R. of A., I, 202, 212.] He was also known as Gellius Ctematius, and it is said that the name Collinus Volkwinner { VOLCKWINNER, Collinus ‹ LBT 30110 › } was a pseudonym used by him. On Mary's accession he fled with a11yothers, to Emden. [Ostfriesisches Monatsblatt, VI, 11; VII, 1.] He printed several books at Emden up to about the year 1566.
