GOWER (CHRISTOPHER), (?) bookseller in London, 1585-7. Son of George Gower or Gowre of York, merchant. Apprentice to Richard Grene { GREENE, Richard ( - 1590) ‹ LBT 07547 › } for eight years from September 8th, 1566 [Arber, i. 324]. He was the compiler as well as the printer of a work on handwriting [Arber, ii. 465].
