6 Aug 1839 - C.B. = Notice was given that at the Monthly Court in November next a Motion would be made, That in consideration of the advanced age of Mr.George Greehill and of his having faithfully served this Company in the Office of Treasurer for the long term of 42 years, this Court are of opinion tha, as a peculia expression of their satisfaction with his conduct, he be admitted a Member of this Court. --- 5 Nov 1839 - C.B = The Motion of which notice was given at the monthly Court in August last was withdrawn --- 14 Jan 1840 - C.B. = That --- taking into consideration the long and fathful services of --- he having been by appointment Assistant Treasurer for seven years and afterwards having exected in the most faithful manner the important Trust of Treasurer to this Company fo upward of Forty three years making a total service of Fifty years. (In the margin is written "43 years together Treasr. & Assistant") It be Resolved, That a further Gratuity of £100 per annum be paid to --- during the pleasure of this Court and that the same should be voted to him by half yearly payment of £50 each at the Monthly courts in April and October in addition to the usual Gratuity of £10 hitherto ordered to be paid to him at each of these Courts --- carried unanimously in the affirmative ---
