HERTFORD (KATHERINE), printer in London, was the widow of John Hertford { HERFORD, John ‹ LBT 28417 › }, and carried on business in Aldersgate Street for a short time after his death. She is entered with her servant Garret Harrys { HARRIS, Garrat ‹ LBT 30050 › } in the Subsidy Roll of 1549. [R. of A., I, 172.] She printed altogether four books, for W. Lynne { LYNNE, Walter ‹ LBT 30051 › }, R. Stoughton { STOUGHTON, Robert ‹ LBT 30100 › } and J. Harrington { HARRINGTON, John ‹ LBT 00124 › }, two of which are dated 1550.
