Renter Wardenship - On 21 Jun 1658 Hunt, who had been promoted from junior to senior Renter Warden on the death of Francis Leach, was allowed to fine given "his little acquaintance with the affiares of ye Company". ---

MLT Note: Identity - There were four Thomas Hunts freed between 1614 and 1646 (the others being (LBT/09262), (LBT/09288), (LBT/11096)) any one of whom might be the man cloathed in 1647 and subsequently elected to the Court. This one seems the most likely because the dates of his apprenticeship best git a cloathing in 1647 and because his master, John Norgate, was a binder rather than a printer or bookseller which could explain his being "little acquaintance with the Company's affairs" [see below.] ---
