LEGRAUNDE (PETER), bookbinder in London, came to England in 1538 and took out letters of denization in 1544. "Peter Legraunde, bookbinder, French born. In England 6 years. 11 July 1544." [Deniz. Roll, 36 Hen. VIII.] He lived in the Parish of St. Andrew, Holborn in a house belonging to Berthelet { BERTHELET, Thomas ( - 1555) ‹ LBT 06915 › }, and was probably one of the bookbinders in his employment.
MLT Note: Duff, E.G. (1905) - house belonged to Thomas Berthelet (LBT/06915), and P.L. was probably one of his bookbinders. ---
