Further Notes
Assistantship - The six men chosen to the Court on 5 May 1645 were all confirmed on 14 Jun, conditional on their fining for failing to make their Renter's dinner. For the other five, all of whom served as Renter Warden, the requirement was clearly to pay a fine in lieu of providing a dinner presumably cancelled during the Civil War. For Robinson, the only one to have fined for Renter Warden rather than serving, the condition was either an error or a requirement to finally produce a fine long promised, but not yet paid. ---
