ROGERS (JOHN), stationer in London, is mentioned as early as 1539 in the Records in the Guildhall [Journal 14, f. 162] for on October 18th he acted as arbitrator in a suit between William Bonham { BONHAM, William (1497 - 1557) ‹ LBT 06973 › } and Thomas Gibson { GIBSON, Thomas ‹ LBT 28401 › }. His name occurs twenty-fourth in the Stationers' charter of 1557, but he apparently died about that time as his name never occurs again in their Records.
