Further Notes

Mastership - Having fined for Sheriff (14 Aug 1674) Sawbridge was elected to the Mastership at the earliest occasion, being first allowed to fine for the intervening offices. Although there is no record of it in the Court Book he must have fined for all these offices on this date to qualify for the Masterhsip. Record of the receipt from him on 15 Jul 1675 of £22 "for his 4 Fines for Warden" appears in the "Wardens Accounts --- 1663 --- 1727". ---
