Further Notes
Pension Court - 28 Sep 1739 - "A Petition of William Sayes was read setting forth that he had been a Liveryman of the Company 36 Years, was out of all business and reduced to very great difficulties and praying about five or Six Pound of his Livery Fine might be returned to him Or that this Court would relieve him in some other manner And that he had good reasons to believe that he should not have any more occasion to apply in this manner And the Court taking the same into Consideration did not thing fit to return him any Part of his Livery Fine But it appearing that Mr.Sayes was a proper object for some present relief It is ordered that Mr.Simpson do pay him six Guineas out of the English Stock". ---
